A Story Tonight

Please tell me a story tonight,

for I am scared of what is in the night.

Could you tell me a story,

where you are the hero,

and I'm as always your loyal friend. 

Tell me a story where we are guided by our guardian zodiac,

a story where we are saved by a mad man in a blue box,

and taken to a school where we can see magic in the air,

a story that takes us to the future where I'll do anything to save your life

even if I have to volunteer my own,

a story where I can watch the smartest man lose his life to protect his one and only friend,

please tell me a story where we can travel all the back roads and fight demons with an angle by our side,

take me away to a long ago place where we can see knights, kings and, queens

   and you and me are two sides of the same coin,

please I want to hear a story where we can fly in the sky with kids who have wings.

Please tell me a story where we can choose our own path,

and the decisions we make are based off of the choice' we have made,

a story where we are free,

and its just you and me.

A story where we are the stuff of legends.

Please tell me a story where we can be trolls, time travelers, wizards and tributes, 

consulting detectives and hunters,

knights, kings and queens,

and superheros,

   and most all where we are friends.

spin me tale,

where we...

where we are...

where we are free to be who we choose,
